Dorine Zenga

ABOUT ME:

I am a Peruvian native who moved to the United States at the age of eight. My educational background is in psychology, I received my bachelor's in Psychology in Spring 2010 from San Francisco State University. I took a four year hiatus from my formal education to pursue spirituality, holistic medicine and cognitive behavioral therapy as well as energy therapy and energy psychology. I intent to become a holistic healer with emphasis in cognitive therapy. It is the responsibility of those who are further along in their growth and their spiritual journeys to  help those suffering. Liberation bears no fruit if it does not multiply.

My religious background is a mixture of Eastern Religions, Buddhism, Taoism and Zen. I practice the ten fold path, meditation and mindfulness on a daily basis. This was not always so, I was born into a Roman Catholic family and baptized as a full fleshed Catholic at the age of sixteen, which was beneficial at the time because it offered me moral guidelines that served as my first stepping stone in my religious journey and gave me strong Catholic roots. I have also frequented and been attracted to Episcopalian churches,I currently attend the Trinity church and the Shambala Buddhist center in Boston. I strongly recommend an active role in whatever religion a person chooses because all religions serve their purpose in the direction towards union with God.

At the moment I am studying Indian philosophy and practicing vipassana meditation. I recently attended a  ten day vipassana meditation retreat where we meditated 7-10 hours a day, from 4 am to 9 pm.

WE ARE MADE IN THE IMAGE OF GOD; THEREFORE WE ARE CREATORS, AND IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MASTER OUR FIRST CREATION, THOUGHT.
